Thanks for supporting Garage Guys — a proudly South African manufacturer of modular timber shelving and storage solutions.

We do our best to keep delivery smooth, fair, and lekker efficient, but because our products are made-to-order and often bulky, there are important delivery terms below.

1️⃣ Order Processing Time

All Garage Guys orders are generally made to order and processed within approximately 15 business days.

Please note:

✔️ Orders are not processed on weekends or public holidays
✔️ High order volumes may cause delays
✔️ Load shedding, supplier delays, courier delays, weather, strikes, or other issues outside our control may affect timelines
✔️ Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed

If there is a significant delay, our team will contact you via email or WhatsApp where possible.

2️⃣ Delivery Fees

Garage Guys charges R499 delivery on orders below R7,999.

Delivery fees are generally non-refundable once delivery has been booked, dispatched, attempted, or completed, unless otherwise required by law.

3️⃣ Delivery Address

Please make sure your delivery address is complete, accurate, accessible, and safe for delivery.

The customer is responsible for ensuring:

✔️ Correct address details
✔️ Safe access for courier/delivery team
✔️ Someone authorised is available to receive goods
✔️ Parking/loading access is available where required
✔️ Estate/body corporate/building access has been arranged

If goods are delivered to an incorrect address due to incorrect details supplied, or if redelivery is required, any additional costs may be billed to the customer.

4️⃣ Delivery Confirmation & Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you may receive a delivery confirmation or tracking update.

Some orders may be delivered in more than one drop due to product size, courier capacity, or manufacturing batches.

5️⃣ Delivery Delays

We always aim to deliver within advised timeframes, but delivery can depend on couriers and third-party service providers.

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Garage Guys shall not be liable for losses, costs, damages, inconvenience, business interruption, or expenses caused by delivery delays outside our reasonable control.

Estimated delivery dates are not grounds for automatic cancellation unless cancellation is permitted under applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act where relevant. The CPA gives consumers certain rights where goods are not delivered within agreed or reasonable times, but businesses may still apply lawful terms around made-to-order products, reasonable delays, and third-party courier issues. 6️⃣ Receiving Your Order

Please inspect your goods immediately on delivery.

Where possible:

✔️ Check packaging before signing
✔️ Take photos of any visible damage
✔️ Note damage with the courier/delivery team
✔️ Report issues within 48 hours with photos and your order number

Claims without photos, delivery notes, or supporting evidence may be difficult or impossible to process. Similar large retailers also require products to be unused, in original packaging, and supported by proof/evidence when returns or damage claims are logged. (Makro)

7️⃣ Damaged, Incorrect or Missing Items

If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, please email:

Include:

✔️ Order number
✔️ Photos of the product
✔️ Photos of packaging
✔️ Short explanation of the issue

We will review and assist in line with the CPA and our Returns Policy.

Important: once products have been assembled, altered, used, damaged after delivery, or removed from original packaging, claims may be limited unless the issue is a confirmed manufacturing defect or legal remedy applies.

8️⃣ Assembly & Site Access

Some Garage Guys products are delivered flat-packed and may require assembly.

Where Garage Guys provides assembly, this is standard assembly only.

Our team does not perform:

❌ On-site cutting
❌ Carpentry modifications
❌ Structural changes
❌ Electrical work
❌ Plumbing work
❌ Building work
❌ Site preparation
❌ Repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, or property

The customer is responsible for ensuring the site is clear, safe, accessible, level, and suitable for assembly.

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Garage Guys accepts no liability for damage, loss, injury, delay, or additional costs arising from unsafe access, hidden pipes/wires, weak walls/floors, uneven surfaces, restricted spaces, customer instructions, third-party interference, or unsuitable site conditions.

Nothing in this policy limits liability where such limitation is not allowed under South African law.

9️⃣ Failed Delivery or Access Problems

If delivery or assembly cannot be completed because:

❌ No authorised person is available
❌ Access is restricted
❌ The address is incorrect
❌ The site is unsafe or not ready
❌ The goods cannot reasonably fit through access points
❌ Building/estate access was not arranged

Garage Guys may charge additional fees for redelivery, storage, return transport, waiting time, or return assembly.

🔟 Risk & Ownership

Risk in goods passes to the customer once goods are delivered, collected, offloaded, or accepted by the customer or their authorised representative.

Goods remain the property of Garage Guys until paid for in full.

1️⃣1️⃣ Delivery Outside South Africa

Garage Guys currently delivers within the Republic of South Africa only, unless expressly agreed in writing.

1️⃣2️⃣ Returns Policy

Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.

Due to the made-to-order and modular nature of our products, custom-made, special-order, assembled, used, modified, treated, or non-standard items may not be returnable unless required by law.

Under the CPA, consumers have rights relating to defective or unsafe goods, but “voetstoots” or limitation wording cannot remove CPA quality rights where the Act applies. However, natural timber features and disclosed product characteristics are not automatically defects if properly disclosed and accepted. (CGSO)
